This was posted on Digital Spy by anniebrion. I think its from the newsgropus.

"Hi All,

Just a quick post to let you know our second line team are in the process of raising the issue with customer reporting slow speeds in Scotland and in the North East of England.

They have all the information they need currently and I will post a refernece number once I have it.

If there are any developments that we here are made aware of then we will post back to you and let you know."

"Hi

There is a firber break on our network which is causing this issue.

Currently the traffic is being routed through a ' redundancy link' (back up link) which is currenly not giving the full speeds you guys are seeing.

It may not be resolved tonight although our network guys on the ground are aware of this issue.

I will most likely have more information tomorrow but just want you to know before we clock off that we have found the issue and work will be done to resolve it.

Due to the nature of this fault it is not likely it will be resolved tonight."

It most certainly looks like that. I live in Middlesbrough and have been having problems lately.

In the NW, and absolutely no problems.

Hi,

Why is it that the guys in second line always say there is no issues and everything on the network is fine, only to be proved wrong a couple of hours later, when the network goes tits up and a fault bites them in the bum?

Thanks, Andrew.

That's just it though, I've had no problems on any of the recent evenings, mornings or afternoons; and that's why I have that confidence.
