View Full Version : More new ratties! *Pic-heavy*

Took a nice drive last Sunday to Swansea to pick up the latest additions to my menagerie. Two 6 week old rats, Sméagol (black) and Déagol (Lavender). They bring my total up to 7 now. In a couple of weeks, once they've settled in, they'll be moving in with Frodo and Sam.

We wasted so much time trying to find White Street that we didn't get to stay long anyway. Shame really, as we wanted to stop off in Ebbw Vale on the way home for a look around as that's where our Dad's from originally.

I was using directions from Autoroute. Unfortunately it seems that Swansea has changed since 2003.

Look at the feet! And the tail on Smeagol! And the colour of Deagol - such a beautiful colour. Fantastic ear shape. Is that a grape? And the stuff in the bowl - rice pudding? Quite like rice pudding myself.

Never really looked at rats in the sense of cute, but after seeing them i could be persauded, they look cleaner and much nicer than you have been made to feel about them over the the years. ;)

He is a lovely colour, isn't he? Unfortunately his variety is currently unstandardised so he can't be shown unless the NFRS decide to add Lavender (black with 2 separate colour dilution genes) to their variety standards.

It's porridge in the bowl. They all love it. :)

There's been an lot of changes to the roads leading into town, I'm not surprised you got confused. It's baffling enough for those of us unfortunate to live here.
