Well i got upgraded to 10meg not so long ago.
Have not had any speed problems, test sites report speeds of 9900/490.
But every short while the modem seems to reboot itself?
Could this mean im entitled for a modem upgrade as the modem i currently have (NTL Home:100) is very old?
I phoned up NTL and the guy on the fone said that he could see that my modem was rebooting itself around every hour, and said that it could be my signal levels or a modem problem, i tried talking him into getting me a modem upgrade as i know for a fact the NTL:Home100 will not handle 20meg when its released, he said that its a possibility that i will get the modem upgrade, but its up to what the engineer thinks, hes coming today btw.

Do you think i am entitled to the modem upgrade?

Most likely the engineer will swap it out to be honest. I can't see it being signal related but the engineer would be the one to coerce with choccy bics ;)

Could be wrong on this, but Im even sure the old 100's could handle 10, let alone 20. An upgraded modem is the only way to be honest as I cant see it being signal related.

Yep the ntl:100 modems are capable of 10Mb but it's better to get it swapped out for a newer modem to see if the old modem was the problem. :)

I had a similar problem last week and an engineer came out and swaped it for a 255 modem. problem seem to have dissapeared now.

Cool, so Virgin Media have started to give the 255 modems out. :)

Ok the technician come today, and he replaced my old NTL100 straight away with a brand new Virgin Media 255 modem.

These new modems look pretty cool.

Btw the new modem has fixed my problem :)
