Still having problems losing connection. Called Virgin and all they ever want to do is send an engineer out, even though the entire LS14 seems to be affeceted. Think I've finally had enough and going to cancel - been going on for over a month now and is getting really annoying. Daren't play my xbox 360 online as it might cut out and cause me to lose. Girlfriend needed to send work via e-mail yesterday and internet went down just before she sent it! They haven't offered any money back or offers - even though i havent been able to use the net properly for over a month.

Have you changed the frequency on your modem? Phone virgin and ask them, mine kept cutting out too until the fella told us how to change the frequency, its been ok ever since.

That would be the SA/DPX100, 192.168.100.1/gscan.htm the start frequency should be 331000000

Or the M/rola 4200 192.168.100.1 navigate to the configuration tab and the Frequency (Hz) should also be 331000000

Hope you find this useful.

I rang Virgin (again). The lady on the phone said there was no problem in the area. I complained a bit and she passed me on to someone else, they had a look on their system and stated that they were having problems in my area from 20th March which would be resolved on 11th April - also effecting on demand. They didnt offer me any money back for the month i have been unable to use the net or watch on demand - but at least i got a real answer this time.

here in LS22 im having constnat problems with my SACM.

managed to get on the internet, connecting straight to the brown box on the wall outside

-------------------------------------------
Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Frequency : 586750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : 64 QAM
Downstream Receive Power Level : -1.91 dBmv
Downstream SNR : 33.03 dB
Upstream Frequency : 46200000 Hz
Upstream Transmit Power Level : 61.00 dBmv
-------------------------------------------

that is my CM config!

i am hopefully getting the cable re-layed from the street cabinet as there is a network fault at the moment, meaning my signal levels are down, but as i have a 11db loss between the street cabinet and the house, it makes the whole service unusable.

Peter.
