Now my internet is finally up and running, i have purchased a Belkin Wirless Router and adapter...

The problem i have now is that my modem has a LAN IP address of <IP REMOVED - JEFFERSON T>, so when i try to install my router it is not 'seeing' the modem because it has a default IP address of 192.168.2.1

I try to set the Router's LAN IP Address to to <IP REMOVED - JEFFERSON T>, but it says it is not a valid address, it needs to start 192 / 10 or 72 (i think)

So what do i do? Can i change the IP address of the Modem? Or am i missing something very obvious

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've removed your IP - Best not to post it in case some dodgy people pick it up. Jefferson T

turn off router and modem . Switch modem back on allow to steady then switch router on . The ip addresses appear t0 be correct (delete the 82 number mate)
