Anyone here having 4mb broadband cable, can only get 60kb from torrent at max between 5pm to 12am?
I'm on 2MB, and I used to get speeds like this at certain times, but a modem change to the ntl:250 solved it.

There is traffic shaping in operation between 4.00pm and midnight, Which affects those that are constantly download and uploading

traffic shaping will be permitted?
traffic shaping will be permitted?
Yes, because it largely affects peak times, that is 16:00 to 00:00 Mon - Fri.
Essentially VM is stating that for the other two thirds of a day you will not be traffic shaped, but as their peak network activity is for 8 hours between those times above, they will shape the traffic that is causing the bulk of the network bottleneck at that time to ensure other traffic types, such as online gaming get a fair share.
btw depends on seeders and leechers you know and ports if u got a router, also ur software/program setup
