My Pace box has started showing 999 on the display and point blankly refuses to output anything to screen. is there an easy fix that I can do before I have to join the queue on VM's customer service line and then wait even longer for the attendance of an engineer. If I can get this sorted before the kids get home it would be great otherwise its going to be a long weekend!! (at least!!)

Try rebooting the Box. Turn the box power off then put it on again.

I tried that but it just does the same sequence pace, nit ,standby, 999.

Phone Virgin. They may fix it over the phone.

Me bad, jst checked back of tv, someone unplugged the box and plugged in xbox. plugged scart cable back in and everythings fine again (apart from the horrific new menus in black,Ugh!!).
Guess I should call the kids first next time, lol.
