Hi,
Another victim here of slow speeds in Gosport area during peek times since a couple of days.
After running my own problem determination from my end came to the conclusion that the node im my area is being hammered!!! I removed my router out of the loop, firewall and virus, changed cables and even resorted to trying the speed via USB! Still same results. During peek times my 4mb connection was peaking at 2mb. As soon as it was aorund 11pm at night....connection went right back up to 3.9 and stayed there till early morning.
Spoke to VM this morning and they said they can see over utilisation in my area (suprise, suprise!!) and that the engineers would investigate. They said they also saw a loss from my cable modem but that would surely be down to them not being able to get to me very well via the node - right?
Anyway... I feel I'm not alone and would appreciate if anyone else is experiencing this in my area.
How long do VM take sort this kind of thing out from anyones past experience?
