TV Problems

Hi,

I have a Hitachi TV (Model: C2565TH), but when I turned it on, it did not display a picture, it now only displays a line accross the screen, you can see colour sometimes.

When I turn it off the line goes white before going off

Can anyone tell me what this is or tell me if it is worth repairing ?

No vertical deflection? Perhaps not too expensive to get repaired, how old is the TV? You could get an estimate from a local repairer.

I don't find a reference to Hitachi C2565TH, only a C2565TN, and for that fault it suggest replacing a capacitor...
