What's Virgin's non cable broadband like?

Seen they have a very tempting deal of phone (evening/weekend) and 8Meg Unlimited bb for £14.99 a month.

What are the opinions on it, is it any good?

Well, it's cheap enough at least. Whether it's any good will depend on the length and quality of your BT line, as is the case with all ADSL.

It's cheap and unlimited. Unfortunately in my experience tho it's very bad in my area at peak times. Another problem is their 25p a min tech support service on ADSL (cable VM customers call 150 for free or an 0845 number) Most other ADSL isp's do free or local rate tech support.
Another prob is the "no contract" agreement. If you decide to leave within 12 months ya have to pay £50. Some other isp's just do 3 months contracts now.
