cant get freeview

i was originally connected to ntl westminster but after so long of paying for crap tv i finally managed to get them to disconnect me.. i bought a freeview box as we have a communal digital aerial on the roof. i have tried to scan for channels and i have got nothing i have called freeview and they seem to think i am still connected to ntl because i recieve sky 1. i called ntl now virging and they assure me that i have been disconnected.freeview have said i cant be connected to the aerial. so now im confused am i still connected to a cable belonging to ntl???/

You have connected the TV and freeview equipment to BT's Cable TV socket(Used by NTL/Virgin Media)

Most properties in westminster depend on this because they have no aerial or dish.

You are NOT allowed to insert your TV equipment into the NTL socket without a valid subscription.
