I have just signed up for the £20 package comprising M Broadband (2 MB) and M telephone.

I assume that I will get a socket for the modem and a separate socket for the phone.

Will I also get a separate socket for the free TV channels that come with the phone line?

If the TV socket is not part of the installation can I install one myself by tapping into their phone socket?

Do they use a standard wiring code and if so what is it?

Finally what are the lead times for installation? They asked for two dates and i gave them three days ahead and 11 days ahead. Are these remotely realistic?

These are the first of possibly many questions so I offer my thanks in advance.

If it's cable BB and not ADSL then they come in on 2 seperate cables anyway. You'll get a standard telephone line socket and then a direct cable fed into the back of the modem. The TV channels may well come down the same cable as your BB so tapping into the telephone line will not get your a TV outlet.

You should get a "normal" type phone master socket. The cable modem is connected directly to a separate co-axial cable.
