I dont have any proplems in this department. I do in others but i shall not elaborate!

Apparently as from Wednesday 14th (very appropriate) Viagra will be on sale over the counter for the first time. Boots are to be the trial dispensary with Market St,Trafford centre and Stockport being the three stores in the Manchester area. Those in need just have to pay a fee to have a health check in store and if they pass then they can buy the little blue pills.

Sounds a bit iffy to me. There are too many drugs that are being re-classified from prescription only to over the counter.

A few years ago a popular medicine/drug for the treatment of digestive discomfort was Gaviscon. Originally this was script only. The reason being that digestive discomfort could be caused by a host of things from simple indigestion to ulcers and cancers.

I wonder how many people out there have digestive discomfort and are happily swigging on a bottle of Gaviscon from the pharmacy whislt something lurks undetected within-possibly until its too late.

The genuine reason for the prescription of Viagra as far as i know is to aid normal function which has hitherto been impeded by other conditions such as vascular and circulatory issues. It is not a trivial matter to pop such pills simply for some kind of bohemian desire for increased pleasure.

A bloke I know bought these from other sources and ended up having two days off work due to it would not go back to normal and in the end had to have an injection in you know where to reduce it from the local GP "OUCH"

I agree with your statement as I was drinking Gaviscon over a long period of time and when I was checked over by a specialist in hospital it was found I had a bacteria problem actually in my stomach which needed a cocktail of drugs to correct it.

Its always best to check with your GP first thats my moto.

Seems a bit pointless to me.

If you need them then you should be able to get them for free on prescription anyway.

Certainly I keep being asked if i need then every time i go to the diabetic clinic.

I guess it's more for people who are to ashamed to go to the gp?

Incidentally there is supposed to be a health check done before you can buy the pills...

if any of you guys DO have problems then go tell your GP..

Don't be embarrassed about it :tu:

I believe Boots will fax your GP during your consultation... although strangely enough they're not planning on asking people to prove their identities. I wonder how many Mr Michael Mouse they will be getting...?

Haha I can just imagine Viagra being dropped into people's drinks just for a laugh at the "reaction" lol :)

Viagra doesn't give an erection to an unwilling man....

Basically, it's not some magic 'horn me up' love tablet. You have to already have the horn, and then it helps to 'prolong' the physical erection.... Spiking someones drink will have no effect at all if the spikee has no randy intentions.

Unfortunately it also means Brewers Droop as well.Adding Viagra to the mix will confuse someone's system..

I personally don't think it's a good idea myself.:erm:

If you have certain medical conditions eg diabetes then you can get them free on an NHS script but they are limited to one a week. If you really want them and have to pay, then opt for a private prescription from your GP, 5 quid each which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Boots rip off price ;)

Florists might be big users...

...you might be surprised to learn that it has also been used in the laboratory to keep cut flowers from going limp.

(there are some interesting "experiments" on that website - see the links at the bottom of the page)

No rush but I'm seeing her tomorrow and I'll get some ginger cake on the way if you convince me enough otherwise I'll tell her I've got a headache.

oh hang on - we dont need Viagra - just ask your g/f or wife to describe herself kissing another woman and that cures the problem.

Unless a guy is feeling like crap emotionally*, it doesn't take a lot to make a guy feel horny. Maybe it does at more senior ages, but I'm not quite there yet. :)

* I once had a relationship with a girl who was quite adept at making me feel like crap. She used to think that saying sorry & giving me a kiss was enough to make everything alright & couldn't understand why I was no longer in the mood.

1 where someone is actually getting some! :( [I'm currently single]
