Problems with my Sky Digital Box

Every now and then, my Sky box keeps showing all 4 lights at the same time instead of the single green light. It's becoming increasingly harder to change the channel.

I'm sure it's the box as the remote is new and works fine.
There is also an occasional clicking/ticking sound coming from the Sky Box. Could these problems be related?

I'd like to try and fix it myself before I call Sky as they will charge me (my guarantee has run out)

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have had the same problem,box is fine apart from the lights and 'ticking'.

Is your box connected your phone line? Thinking the 'ticking' was similar to the old 'dial up' internet,I connected mine to my phone line and (touch wood) have had no problems since.
I'm assuming its the box trying to 'update' itself.
