Hi all

I'm trying to connect my PS2 to online gaming through a pretty complex method but the only practical way i have to do it:

The internet comes from the set-top into a wireless router

The wireless router sends a signal up to a laptop in my room (its in the loft, the router in the kitchen)

The laptop shares the internet connection via a cross-over cable with the ps2

Now i have done everything "by the book" and get quite far in setting it up.

However when running the network diagnostics everything passes successfully except the DNAS test at the end.

As the connection comes through a wireless router first shouldn't this work fine?

Cheers in advance

Why not get a wireless game adaptor for the PS2?

Comes down to money at the end of, cost me about £40 for the network adapter because i couldn't get one anywhere other than ebay, plus another £50 for the game adapter, its just way too much for me;)

I'd have thought that this method would work anyway?

Also we are planning on upgrading to 10MB in a few weeks time which would mean we will have to get a cable modem instead so I won't have the problem anymore. I'm just trying to find a way to play in the time between now and the upgrade

That's good, hopefully everything will work once you get SACM.
