Hi,
Just wanted to make a topic of how I finally found out that most of my packet loss recently was due to a memory problem (I recently added another stick). I decided to memtest each stick, don't ask me why, I'm just quite fanatic about system stability. 1 stick was bad, since taking it out I've had no packet loss AT ALL. I can't stress enough how much of a difference it's made to my browsing experience. 20ms pings to World of Warcraft, a game which is usually 100+, no spikes whatsoever.
It really is worth testing your memory, as it DOES have a great effect on transfer of data, whether it's internet connection or applications.
Just passing on my experience, may be worth checking out ;)
