Hello,
Over recent weeks I have started having an odd connection problem. Periodically I'll loose all traffic to a particular internet server - no ftp, mail or web - however I CAN ping the server. The traffic is effectively blocked for 5 or 6 minutes and then everything comes back. I can view other sites on the net whilst this is happening, just not the server I'm working on. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to when this happens. The server itself appears to be running properly as I have had this verified by both the company looking after the server and independant contacts who CAN access the server during the periods when I seem to be locked out. So at the moment I'm kind of blaming NTL (although possibly unfairly).
It's not the end of the world, just annoying. Has anyone else experienced this wierd problem, and if so have they managed to trace and resolve it?
