:dozey: Does any one have a fix for this.
I am running IE7.0.5730.11 I believe this to be the latest, ntl have told me not but can't tell me what is the latest.

The issue is every time I boot up the message:

Smart Bridge Alerts:MotiveSB.exe.

Message is
The proceedure entry point get process image file name W could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.dll

This *.dll file can be traced back to C:\programmefiles\ntl\broadbandmedic\smartbridge

I have tried reinstalling ntl BB software with no effect. Have you had this issue since upgrading to IE7, have you fixed it, if so how?

A fix for Smartbridge Alerts, courtesy of Microsoft Discussion Groups.
It works.

Click the "Start" button, choose "Search" then click "All files and folders"
option.

In the "All or part of the file name" search box type "SmartBridge" and look
for a folder to come up with the name "SmartBridge".

Click on the folder and locate the file called "psapi.dll". Right-click on
the file and rename it as "psapiold.dll" or "psapi_old.dll" or something
similar.

Close all open windows and applications and reboot your computer.

The message should now be disabled from reappearing.

:welcome: to the forum. I personally wouldn't bother with Broadband Medic at all. You don't need it (or any ntl software) to access broadband.

You do need a good firewall, good antivirus and good antispyware software though.

For firewall, I recommend Sunbelt Kerio firewall (although it now costs $20). For Antivirus, I would recommend Avast Antivirus (http://www.avast.com), and for spyware, I recommend Adaware ( http://www.lavasoft.com ), spybot ( http://www.safer-networking.org/ ) and Spywareguard & blaster ( http://www.javacoolsoftware.org/ )

The Antivirus, and the antispyware software is free.

Is Broadband Medic compatible with IE7 yet? I know IE7 broke some of my HP scanner software (quite why they use the IE rendering engine for changing scanner settings I don't know..)

Glad to be of help, but as I said, I can't really take the credit. I just Googled and came up with the answer on the MS Discussion forums.
