How do I update my firmware for my cable modem? I've got an NTL:Home 120 silver box. I'm on 10mb, and I'm geting 5.5mb max.

Network Access : Enabled
Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 10240000 bps
Maximum Upstream Data Rate : 512000 bps
Maximum Number of CPEs : 1
Software Upgrade File Name : ntlhm120_ntl0002.cpr
Software Upgrade AdminStatus : allowProvisioningUpgrade
Software Upgrade OperStatus : completeFromProvisioning

I might be wrong but only ntl:Telewest can update if there is one available automatically.

So why am I getting 5mb max download? Average of 3mb. I upgraded from 4 mb this monring, and theres no difference exepct the bloody price.

Hmm, I'm gonna call a techie tomorrow morning. Hop fully get a new modem off them.

I heard with some people, the new modem works all for about 5-10 mins then the same speed problems come back.

PS Just checked your upstream @ 512. I thought it's meant to be @ 384 or something

Nah, on 10mb its 512.

Aaarrgggh - with ntl you get 512 and with Telewest I get 384
