My browsing over the lsat couple of days has been getting worse and worse. Today it's terrible to the point of phone tech support! Anyone else around here with issues?

Yep, GU14 here. Browsing is very slow at times.

Been working fine for me on a 2Mb connection (touching a wooden table ;) ) on the Cove side of Fboro.

Phew! I thought it was just me (GU12) Ash Vale. Slow / Erratic connection and should be 10Mbit/s!

GU12 (Ash Vale) here as well.

Started this morning, about 5-6 random length lagspikes a minute between 1 and 10 seconds long. Utterly useless for online gaming which is what I do :(

Tech support say there's no problem in the area (except a digital tv fault). But have confirmed 60-70% packet loss on a test of connection to my cable modem so they've booked an engineer (none available until after wednesday).

So I guess all our cable modems have entered into a suicide pact!

Oh well ADSL gets switched on next week.

Ash Vale here too. My connection was dog slow - rebooted the cable modem and it is now failing to get an IP :( RUBBISH.

Have any of you guys got the Terayon modems? I had exactly the same issues in GU52 and have just had it fixed. NTL have been making upgrades to the network, ready for HD, and the old modems don't seem to like it. The engineer gave me a new modem and that's fixed it up a treat. :)

NTL Phoned in the week to say that a fault in the area had been cleared. However, my packet loss had improved but I'm only getting c. 1MBit/s throughput on a 10BMit/s connection so the engineer was still coming.

NTL Engineer came today and change my Motorola Surfboard 4100 modem for an NTL 250 modem as network upgrades in the area (64QAM to 256QAM) have affected older modems (US Robotics, Motorola & Terayon). Made no real difference - Engineer says there is a fault with equalisation of signal levels before the reach the cabinet nearest me (GU12) and has escalated to the Networks Team who should fix it during the week....

Looks like something is improving....
