Connection degraded over the past week

Hi, just got back to my place at uni and zonealarm detected a new network so seems NTL have changed something.

Speed has gone up from around 1mb to 2mb but it randomly times out. It will be working fine then it cant even open google. anyone else having problems with this ?

Im in Swansea.

It's been going on for a few weeks, I haven't lost web access but do lose newsgroups on a regular basis.
