when i go to upgrade my speed it says:

Unable to Proceed The username (xxxxxxxxx) entered is not the registered subscriber associated with this cable modem.Please go back and try again with your cable modem username and password. If you need further help, please contact our customer support (0800 052 2000).

When you call customer support, you may be asked for the following information: Application ntl: Broadband Internet - Connection Speed Upgrade Date & Time 16/08/2005 at 09:04 Your username xxxxxxxxxxx Your Cable Modem Mac Address ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ae Your Surname
Your Postcode



why wont it let me upgrade :(

What tier are you upgrading from/ to and are you on a SACM? Would probably be quicker to call CS if it's a problem with the information registered against your account though.

You're probably entering a username associated with an old dialup account. If you'd like to PM me your MAC address, I'll have a look for you. One of the team can confirm that I'm an ntl associate.

sorry for takin so long to reply, havent been in lol, its ok, i rang em up today. gone to 2mb for 24.99 a month but theres an error on systems or something and wont be actually upgraded til monday. thanks for help though. sorry bout the personal details, i just copied and pasted the whole thing :D
