NTL 10meg connection

Hi guys first post :)

i have had the 10 meg connection now for a few months and when using it with my ftp software "transmit" my download speeds are never higher than 100kbs yet my upload is wicked hitting 60kbs

now i have had ntl out to check there connection and it always seems right when they test it as yes i can get about 700kbs when downloading the msn messenger.

i also have bt's 2meg connection and when i connect to that via wireless as well i can download via my ftp software at its max which is 225kbs

does anyone know what my problem could be?

2nd 128K took 1632 ms = 80314 Bytes/sec = approx 668 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 442 ms = 296543 Bytes/sec = approx 2467 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 331 ms = 395988 Bytes/sec = approx 3295 kbits/sec

What wireless router are you using and have you tried connecting via ethernet to test?

I am connected thou the ethernet i have the NTL250 modem that then goes into my computer

the wireless is on the bt 2meg connection
