For those with a 2MB upload speed what kind upload speed are you getting? In recent test I seem to be getting. (roughly).

Download Speed: 1845 kbps (230.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 229 kbps (28.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

The upload seems a little low.

The upload is always slower than the download spped. On a 2Mb account with Telewest the download speed is 2148k and the upload speed is 256k.

Yep it sucks, but TW services always do. ;)

yeh with telewest u always get the stated speed or more, unlike adsl where u get up to the stated speed.

Nah 'up to' the stated speed, congestion, etc, can cause slower, no guarantees or promises :)

The OP's download is a bit slow considering the 2148kbps cap on the download, 230k is slower than I used to see from 2Mbit DSL. Would expect 240k+

when i had 2mb asdl for a few months i got about

1980kbps
cable connection, which i also had for a few months before downgrading, i got
2010kbps
I think i am in a very good cable area with only about 2 customers on the whole pipe!
+ i live in london!
Cuz every1 else as asdl.

wow, so you guys all agree that TW provide 'standard' services :S
I only have the 1M(Broadband Complete) option, and i've been able to download at 5mbps during the past!

Hell I aint complaining :D

On my 2 meg line I've found it depends on the time of day. Between 6 and 11 in the evening I'm averaging 1946 / 220.

All other times I can get upto 2046-3000 / 240

I think kids should be banned from broadband when they come in from school, and goto bed early...like 7pm :D

Nope that's quite normal, the cable modem is set for 2148000bps not a straight 2Mbit, so there's where the difference comes from.
