konami europe has announced that european pre orders of its pro evolution soccer 3 game for the playstation 2 have exceeded 1 million units

when the japanese version of the game was released in japan it took 3 weeks after its release to reach the 1 million mark

the game is due for a euro release on october 17th

Is that cheat/'upgrade' disk worth getting? Online stores are flogging it for £7.99-9.99.

Well, it translates the players' names into the proper ones, which is a good thing, and unlocks all the tournaments etc, if you can't be bothered doing it yourself. I'll probably get it if only for the proper names!

If I were you I'd save the cash and buy an Xport for your PS2, and then sign up to this forum www.pesfan.com, that already has that download available for free, and will do loads more (like Prem lg patch and Seria A patch etc etc)

It's a cool place, nice guys on there and they do regular updates for the PES, so there will be another after Jan transfers etc.

Xport will cost £18 and has loads of uses too :)

Ah they wont sell it to me until tomorrow :(

I have to sort out and xport instead of using a mtes to update with the latest patches. I want the update from Pesfan ASAP, and they got a few more planned, they are making sa team of fourm members :D

Game sold me a copy for £35 with my loyalty card today:D Yet to play it, only just got in and got a mountain of work, But cant wait :D

Oh I just mine for £5.99 when I traded in Vice City and PES2 with no instructions, and a few quid off with loyalty card, can't argue with that :D

And I am off work until Monday, and my misses thinks I should get the new silver PS2 when I get pad because mine is old:D

I know man, I have been playing it for pretyt much the whole of the last 2 days now, on the big TV too, she even missed Eastenders and was cool about it :eeek:

So what you think of it then guys?

Most people on the fan site seem to love it, when PES2 came out it was kind of a split decision, kind of 50/50 on there, but I'd say adleast 95% of the guys on there love it. The other 5% say they have bug where it stutters every now and then, but my guess is it's the PS2 at fault cos mins works fine and my PS2 is years old.

I'm loving it anyway :D

OK got x-port and now got it running. omg, PES3 is very good. Only the downside is if you're a Southampton, Bolton, Leicester, Portsmouth, Wolves, or Charlton fan cause the teams aren't in it. Fortuntaly I'm a Fulham and probably the only reason they included us is because of Inamoto (or should I say Isawita!!). Cheers to the pesfan.com site for the team/player changes.

I got FIFA this morning too, but not as impressed (except that they have the full league). PES3 definitely owns.
