No Access to Broadband last few days

Hi

Can anyone offer any explanation as to why i had no access to internet from Thursday through weekend. I have BB and everything has worked well. Couldnt access web for couple of days so rang NTL and ended up with call centre who advised a fault with computer not modem.

I switched on today and its all working normally again. I havent done anything, a computer repairman hasnt visited yet. I dont understand what has happened.

I have had exactly the same symptons as roathblue over the last few days and i am going to ring ntlworld tomorrow to check whats going on. I thought it might be my pc's but not anymore as i also live in Cardiff like roathblue so there must be some other problems.

Do you have BB Medic installed as this will sometimes tell you if it is a local problem. We had a similar problem about a month or so ago. Main problem with medic is you need a connection to get the information about no connection, weird http://bestsmileys.com/movingeyes/1.gif.

The help number sometimes has a recorded message about local problems as well.
