yeh right
they should look at the take up figures for broadband and see they are going through the roof before saying we are scared of pc's , and that more people download music than actually buys it....

actually most people dont have a clue about there pc's they get broadband but dont know about services tier's just want it for email or downloads not bothered about security spyware etc.........

I vaguely recall at one time Britain had more home computers than all the other countries in Europe.

Also the BBC computer was introduced into schools in the 1980's so a lot of children in the last 20 years have been made familiar with computers.

Many businesses and public services use PCs and Microsoft Office so plenty of adults have had the opportunity to work with computers at their place of employment.

It may be that some people have not had the opportunity to work on computers or simply lack the experience of a particular system e.g. a computerised public library system. As a result, they lack confidence. Given support and practice they will soon overcome their lack of confidence.

But to say that people are scared is a bit over the top.
