View Full Version : Putting a scrapped car back on the road
Does anyone know the procedure? The car has no accident damage, it's to be scrapped as the previous owner couldn't justify the cost of getting it through the MOT. Obviously it'll need repairs to get it through the MOT but what then?
Has the registration docs gone back to DVLA?, ifso you must apply for them giving Vin # engine # and registration #
Yeah it's gone back - but is that all I need to do? Surely the DVLA will want proof it's roadworthy - will just the new MOT do?
They will know its roadworthy when you apply for the road tax, because you will need an MOT, oh and get a letter from previous owner to say it's now your property.

All you need is a MOT and a form to apply look on the dvla website for more advice http://www.dvla.gov.uk/w_welcome.htm
