I've just picked up an H reg mk3 VW Polo GT from an auction for £50 and I want to tart it up as a project car, does anyone have any experience of them?

I would get a pre mot to see what you need to do to get it up to roadworthyness first, mebbe a visit from a mobile mechanic?
As far as i can remember from having a polo the fuel filter( an inline one) did give me a problem with it cutting out after a run.
Other than that I love vw's

It's an MOT failure and it'll cost about £170 to repair.

Can't quite remember now as my dad has got the failure sheet but it's nothing major, a bit of welding, CV gaitor, that sort of thing.

With all the traffic lights there? No way!!!
