I recently recived a small packet of compost throught the post (to do with the green waste collection) and it got me thinking about the sort of things that go through the post.

So, whats the weirdest thing anyone has received?:eh:

My ex GF once received some knickers through the post.

They had been sent to her by one of her friends.....

Graham is our resident purveyor of all things pervy :D

I once received a set of cheap fridge magnets from BT - a selection of words that cannot form a sentence. Useful :dozey:

My dad has mealworms shipped to him, when his birds have chicks. It's the postman I feel sorry for.

I am perfectly serious about this...

A piece of python poo in a mix of oil and marmite.

I never requested it. It was sent to me by a (somewhat weird) friend of mine. I never understood why.

Apparently it was a response to me ordering a personalised kiddie's book for him - one of those ones where you supply the name of the kids and pets etc and you get the relevent details inserted into the story. I thought my present to him was amusingly weird, but his to me was just yuckky.

However a weightlifter's belt is bloody good for lower back strains! I know, I've got one and it helps a lot :)

However a weightlifter's belt is bloody good for lower back strains! I know, I've got one and it helps a lot :)Just don't use it too much as it will probably weaken your abdominal and low back musculature.
Link to a study (http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/beltinj.html)
Dec 2000- In the largest study of its kind ever conducted, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC)'s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) found no evidence that back belts reduce back injury or back pain for retail workers who lift or move merchandise, according to results published today in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Dec. 6th issue.
If I am asked, I tell my patients to try a belt and see if it helps--but to be aware that it will eventually weaken their muscles if used too much......

I don't, but (probably mainly due to bad posture, working sitting down and bent over etc) occasionally my back gets very uncomfortable and putting the belt on for a few hours supports the back and lets the muscles recover.
