Hi, Im just sat here considering what I might want to do as a career.

The two careers I've been leaning towards for some time are coastal management, and marine biology.

Does anyone know much about these (I've googled and all that) know how I might get to do some work experiance? or learn anymore about these?

I have the impression that a career in marine biology (http://www.soc.soton.ac.uk/PR/schools4.html) will take you far from home on a regular basis which is great when you are young and single but not so great with a family..............

Costal mangement would be quite cool, wouldnt that be about costal errosion and stuff like that, you could go and watch buildings go and fall into the sea. And managing those sea defences, I know who I can blame now when we flood!

Ah, but you're forgetting, there will be no flooding with me about.

Dykes and groynes all over the place!!!!

lol, well I'm sure gabions, refractive wave barriers, attaching higher grade to lower grade rock etc. would be more beneficial, but none of that sounds as fun!
