ever since telewest have upgraded the 256k to 512k service I have had poorer download speeds and even poorer upload speeds. I have had my pc checked out and there is no problem at my end. If anyone else has had the same problems and has fixed it let me know. PLEASEEEEE!!!!

befor the "service upgrade" I was clocking speeds of around 40K all the time, now I am lucky if I hit speeds of 5K. This is not what I am paying for and I am so far from amused.

Have you tried to contact Blueyonder tech support to let them know your having connection issues? (0845 142 4422)

Try this (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d.h.walker/speedtest.html) speed test and post the results below. Thanks.

1st 128K took 2142 ms = 61191 Bytes/sec = approx 509 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 2016 ms = 65016 Bytes/sec = approx 541 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 2110 ms = 62119 Bytes/sec = approx 517 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 2079 ms = 63046 Bytes/sec = approx 525 kbits/sec

I presume those are the results you wanted.

Looking at them myself I notice nothing wrong but every other speed test I have used has me pegged at 128Kb/ps or less. Maybe its the software I am using to d/l with. Maybe I am more clueless than I thought. :erm:

If you have any ideas as to why my d/l speeds are still so poor please lemme know :(
