Hi all,

Though I would ket you know that Mrs Zovat (Rachel) gave birth to our first child at 18:28 on Wednesday 25th May 2005. (exactly one week early)

Little Kieran James weighed 8lb 12oz and was born with the help of a ven touse (suction thingy).

Mum and baby came home yesterday, and both are well, and settling (back) into their home.

It's not really. In place of the usual forceps to grab a babies head they use a type of suction device to pull the baby out.It can leave a baby with a domed head for a short while unfortunately.Doesn't look like that happened to little Kieran though.

Bet he's changed from when he was born on Wednesday..they change daily in the first week.

Oh, he had the tefal head alright, but the pic angle hides it, and it has almoct completely gone now ;)

I think it looks like a sink plunger :erm:

The skull is a bit like the earth - a series of movable plates. As we age, the plates fuse (hence the stitches on skulls).

Never wanted kids myself and accordingly will never have any as long as I live. Other people can do that thanks very much.

Thanks again for all the comments folks, I have to admit he is gorgeous (but he is my son, so I would say that), so I know he does not take after his daddy... (he already has as much, if not more hair than me :Yikes: )

My replies are a bit sporadic, as he was up most of the night last night - he has got sleeping by day down well, just not the whole night sleeping thing so I'm averaging 3-4 hours kip a day :tired:

I have passed on your congrats to Mrs Zovat as well (who is currently sat with Kieran asleep on her )
