i turned on my pc today, and my internet is was going slower than dial-up, waited till about 4:00, and it got slightly fast, but its still going slower than what it normally goes, i have on the old £17.99 a month, (not upgraded to 1mb) is anyone else having this problem, (in the north of england) and do you HAVE to get upgraded to 1mb, because 3gb a month cap is really small, i use that in a week.

you could also try a bit of the old proxy shuffle (http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?c=16) to see how you get on :)

why does this need to be done? why can't it just work? ffs! we're paying for it! I'm fed up with this proxy thing. I pity people who don't know how to change it.....it's not their fault though. time for ntl to stand up and sort this out.....now!

TBH, it's just the proxies being totally flaky. Most ISPs in this country don't use them anymore, and for good reason. All the same, I recommend you use one of the NTL 'friendly' Telewest proxies, which I do - Telewest proxies seem much nicer than NTL ones.
