hi all,
the problem is the upgrade from 750k to 2 megs which was free, the 750 k was perfect even for hosting games to people from all over even though you are not meant to be hosting, now after the upgrade every day usually after 6 oclock in the evening internet gaming feks, halo , when i join a game the ping is about 100 to 200 thats perfect, then shortly the ping after about 15 mins or so, goes to about 2500 and the connection is lost,
okay so i started reading a lot :Yikes: , and learned a little about ping tracert and netstat, and what fine colours they are :D anyway i decided to do a netstat-o, so it would show any running internet connected process, incase they were saturating bandwidth, but there are none,i also used adaware , etc, but the problem persists, i imho they call it spike lag , below i have a tracert to bbc.co.uk, and the other tracerts are to my default gateway, then to my dhcp server, and the other TWO are to my 2 dns servers, what do you guys think of the results this is all new to me so please bear with me, thanking you kindly i jope i am going through this locically im sure i'll know soon thanks J.T.

Julie go here where i have asked you some questions... http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=25571&goto=lastpost

They merged your last post with another one and its confused the hell out of everyone.

Note to Mods: Perhaps a PM to new members would be appropriate in these situations stating the location of their queries, otherwise they just open new threads (quite rightly too)...
