Is central london/shopping open on sundays?

If you mean here (http://www.oxfordstreet.co.uk/) then possibly, we went to Oxford/Regent street last year and some of the shops were open until 6 on a Sunday! Best to check the opening times before you go, they may have changed (I think we went in October so they could have been opening late due to Christmas). Depends what you are looking for in the shops, John Lewis, Selfridges and other department stores are good to have a nose around! ;)

Most of the shopping in Oxford St and Regent St is open but I think they are subject to the Sunday trading regs and may close at 4 p.m.

No, they close at 6, as they open at midday. Have a nice day out!
