View Full Version : Cannot Change USB To Ethernet
I am trying to setup a wireless broadband router. To do this I have to first of all have my broadband running off ethernet. I currently have it setup through USB. When running the NTL setup CD and selecting ethernet, it then brings up an error saying Non Functioning adapter USB31500. I followed the instructions for disabling and removing this adapter but it is still saying the same message.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Don't use the CD.
Do a search through the knowledgebase on the forum for setting up without using the CD.
Cheers for that. I found a thread, I'll give it a go.

Doing without the Broadband installer
If you cannot get the Broadband installer to run at all, then you can probably get on-line manually by:
configure networking as described in Network Settings (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d.h.walker/cmtips/basicset.html);
register with your cable ISP as described in Registration Issues (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d.h.walker/cmtips/register.html).

:tu: Cheers for that. Quick question, will them processes for using ethernet still work fine if I currently have it setup for USB or will I have to remove USB before trying them.???
