have just set up Tiscali broadband for a friend. Followed instructions - up and running no problem.
However. Previously an ntl dialup connection was there. I connected the computer to the phone point using the tiscali adapter but the phone downstairs, which previously connected to the phone point using one of those ntl adapter things (that dial 1263 I think), now does not have a dial tone when i connect the phone to the phone point with the extra tiscali adapter. The dial tone is ok when connected directly into the phone point without the adapter or throught the ntl adapter.
Also, when the broadband connection is present, the dial tone is ok on the phone downstairs (without the adapter) but the internet connection is lost if you dial a number on the phone.
I just know it's something daft I have overlooked :(
