Caroline: They should allow you to keep your phone number (I think this is a legal requirement), and as for availabilty, well, assuming you live near enough your local BT exchange and the exchange has been ADSL enabled, then you will have access (ATM) to the Bulldog 1Meg and 2 Meg services.

If you are lucky enough to live near an exchange they have "unbundled", then you should get up to 4 meg.

I'm sure Bulldog are great for some peeps, not for others (much like ntl). There is a Bulldoghell (http://www.bulldog-hell.com/phpBB2/) site already...

last time I checked them out on the ADSLGUIDE forums, their customer service was a disgrace or at least appeared to be!

It's nice but not as nice as Alsatian. You can get it at most Chinese takeaways these days..... ;)

Sorry, but eh?

1. Bazza7676 starts bulldog thread at CF.
2. Orangebird points out existence of Bulldoghell website and posts link.
3. CF forum members idly click link to see what it's all about.
4. And find that Bazza has already clicked it and joined up.
5. Giving occasion for jocular remarks about OB receiving commission from Bulldoghell for getting new signups to their site.

Except it loses something in the re-telling. :erm: :p:

Bulldog quality varies, Bulldog sell different types of ADSL.

LLU which is more or less only in the london area, the quality of this service is very good and it has their 4mbit packages available.

Datastream, From what I have heard of others this can be a very yo-yo service, I think the maximum package sold on this is 2mbit and the contention is easily felt since users are sharing a small pipe.

Ipstream, This is the standard ADSL and will be a service roughly on par with other ADSL isp's.

Let's see how things compare in 6 months then dude.

All the best with Bulldog, they have legions of delighted customers, and not a few upset ones. Hope you're in the majority.

Bulldog are offering: 4 Meg broadband For £10.50 for the first six months with no download limits. Extra £10 thereafter.
Keep your existing telephone No. Free phone calls to other Bulldog active customers and you only pay £1 connection charge.
If this is true? (Came in post this morning) So it must be true.
But have i read it right? Still half asleephttps://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2005/07/24.gif

Have a look HERE (http://www.bulldogbroadband.com/), at the different options available.

The £10.50 service, looks to be the time limited one (ie: you get eight hours of surfing bundled, if you go over that you buy more time).

The Inter@ctive and Super@ctive seem to be the unlimited services, though obviously there is a price jump for both: £19.50 and £31.50, rising to £29.50 and £41.50 after six months, and remember for all packages you need to add £10.50 line rental for the phone service.

My exchange has been enabled, so will probably go for the Super@ctive package once I can cancel Ntl without penalty.
