View Full Version : Raven Shield 1.41 patch

Anyone got a workaround for the fact that since patching Raven shield up to v1.41, the game says it cannot find CD 2, gives me the option to press 'ok' (which quits the programme) and that's it!?!?!?!?

I don't have a no-cd crack on and I have tried starting the game with the disc in both CD drives. Bare in mind also, that the game was initiated by the disc (game CD2) autostarting when put in the drive!!!!!

Any suggestions or resolutions would be appreciated!

Is the "No CD Crack", You've got, for version 1.41?

no, I try not to use them (no cd cracks) coz it makes patching a bugger!!!! They're all UK patches from Ubi....

HELP!!!! MUST..... PLAY..... RAVEN SHIELD......

oh, and I tried a full uninstall / reinstall too - no joy

I always use nocd's I dont like the cd drive getting wear and tear when its not needed

yeah, but when backing up the original exe's and dll's, I always seem to miss a couple, so when a new patch comes out, I have to reinstall the whole game.

Have you reinstalled, And not used the NO CD patch?

Ok, lets get a few things straight..

Firstly, you updated.. And it didnt work.

You then, uninstalled, and reinstalled, Did you then update, and try it?, Or try it without updating?

When you uninstalled make sure you delete the folders they always leave your settings behind ;)

Just gonna say that - Try using "RegEdit", to make sure everything is completly gone.

yeah - good point. I did uninstall, reinstall, tested (all ok), then patched. That's when it stopped working. Looks like it's a regedit job!

Nearly always works. Remember the secret rule. Don't trust microsoft lol

Anyone reading this and doesn't know much about computers don't try regedit as if you dont know what your doing it can screw up your computer

Were you having any of the issues that were supposed to be fixed with this patch?
If not, then why patch?

Some things are best left alone.

Reason bieng is that you have to patch up if you want to play online. all servers are up-to-date and I can't connect unless I have the same version... what to do, eh!?!?!?!?
