Me neither, but it could have something to do with the fact that until the 50's the "charts" where based on sheet music sales, only using record sales later.
My earliest recollections are Fats Domino's Blueberry Hill and early Little Richard songs, but I would have been a few years old by then.:(

had a hey day in the 80's doing live gigs just as "The Pirates", because, by then, Johnny Kidd was dead.
