I feel we have got a little over heated this week here at CF.Today especially.
Sooo I'll kick off with my happy thought being that I discovered that the school has an EXTRA day off on top of the school holidays. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Thursday the lock on our side door jammed as we were going out and we couldn't take the key out or even close the door until the service guy came late at night. Ten minutes later as my wife was grilling something there was a bang and the power went off. Grill element gone. More expense.
Happy thought, Formula 1 is back this weekend.
Second happy thought. Cableforum members are going to donate loads of money to good causes via the Red Nose Day link at the bottom of this and every page. Get donating folks. :)

Yep - just got home from my mum's after babysitting her for 2 days after her op (successful caudal epidural :Yikes: ) well it's worked for now, so I'm well happy :D

Anyway, I have two things to do with over the weekend.. First, pick up a parcel from the postoffice as the bloddy postman just stuck the standard "sorry we can't deliver as you aren't in" notice through the door without knocking. I know, I was standing at the top of the stairs and saw the note come through the letterbox. All I know is it's a small package. I do know the only small package I am expecting is my repaired iPod.
The second thing is I am going to see Erasure tommorrow night. It should be good.

I got loads of bargains out of etam as they are closing my local store, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh retail heaven and now I am going to dye my hair purple and I am going to pamper myself, pamper heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got new shoes.......I daren't tell you how much for a pair of Clarks plain black lace ups for work...but never mind new shoes are new shoes. :)
It means I shall have to go back next month for some new best shoes instead of getting them THIS month.

Here is a happy thought........we found a pub in Kent (Sevenoaks high street) that not only sells bl**dy decent real ales but also sells home (well, pub) cooked meals--none of that pre bought/frozen sh*te--at a very reasonable price. It also had a non-smoking section that looked out onto the high street and the music was perfect and not too loud.........I was in nirvanah :tu: :)

I like the flexablity, I have the boys and I can spend more time with them, they pay for all my study days, I could do double shifts if I wanted. A lot of girls I trained with are agency, you seem to get more respect. A lot of people are scared of doing agency work as it is a big leap. But when you do the rewards are fantastic and it is never boring and I can pick and choose which wards I want to go on. And it is always different. That is why I do it, plus I do not like to be tied down for 2 long
No work tomorrow....... :D

I bought my dvd player/vhs recorder ages ago, tonight was the first time I used the vhs record function and it worked really well, I'm happy :)

Just a note - I'm sure you know this - but some others may not.
You can only change the region in your pc a set number of times (unless you fiddle with the dvd drives firmware).
Obviously this isn't a problem if you only watch region 2 discs - but if you have a multiregion collection this is very important to know.

Yes already discovered this...son's fault so I gave him a rollocking..so my son has download some freeware program that apparently lets me decide which region I want to watch..Can't see it being much of a problem though as I mostly watch DVDs on the DVD player.
Except when the DVD is pooched.... :rolleyes:

It's NW4 (Hendon)... just on the edge of a residential area, but still only 10min walk from the tube so quite handy :D

Not losing my marbles just yet. Considering I am completely self taught got 56% for data input, 54% for using Word/Excel (things in there I have never heard of let alone used) and 40 wpm typing.:D So hopefully the odd bit of temporary work will follow.

Quincy DVD is now out :) :hyper: Bloody shame it is first 2 seasons only. I would have loved an ultimate DVD. All epsidoes ever + tons of extras. I would have paid a fortune for it.
