Which is the better the AA or RAC in overall service?

I voted both the same - because they are both ripoff merchants....

Neither!!
Go with the Guild of Experienced Motorists - much cheaper and VERY efficient when I broke down.
£49.95 for a year's cover instead of £131.00 (AA Option 300) or £124.00 (RAC Standard Cover)

Seeing as there are alternative companies, I'll add another option, if that's ok.....

They're both pretty crap but I'd choose the AA over the RAC, the RAC will literally try and force you to buy parts you don't need (normally a new battery at an above market price)

Well as a ( hasbeen in both ) and never had cause to use them I would think ( as a single male taveling ) neither. But as a male or female with small children, maybe, just for the kids sake, yes.

Otherwise keep the money in your pocket :) IMHO of course
