led lighting?

does anyone know a good place to get 240v LEDS that go in a light fitting designed to take halogen lamps

ive seen these in maplins but they are £15 a bulb, was hoping to pick some up cheaper on the internet.

btw if anyone has some of these could they also tell me if they are any good was thinking of using some in the bedroom light.

Unfortunately as http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/default.php?cPath=50&osCsid=9732ad6f7e241755111b9071f9739243 shows, the 48-led white ones are the same price, although they do some 30-led versions for less. eBay seems no cheaper either...

hmm wander if the 15led ones would be bright enough :erm:

light i have takes 3 bulbs so dont really want to spend to much on each one

Ultraleds also do EBAY - that's a 5 pack of 21-LED bulbs, but you really don't NEED spares

15-18 LED seems to equal about 20 watts equvalent, while using 1/10 the power - ood as everything I've seen suggests that CFL has greater efficiency than LED, though LED's are perhaps better in the directional spotlight bulb, as they are inherently directional

UltraLEDS put them at:
48 LED = 20 watt (uses 3W)
21 LED = 15 W (uses 4W)

TLC's 15 LED model - 20w, uses 1.8W
