You guys are great for recommendations. :) My Alarm clock packed up this morning :dozey: and I need a new one. Is there anything out there that's bizarre that you have seen. I quiet fancy a Teas Maid so I can wake :o up to a nice coffe in bed. But open to ideas. :D

Something different may be. Some people may think this is a boring post but I think its important to have a nice wake up call. :p:

Reps will be awarded to best Ideas :tu:

Tanks :D

Better still, get a maid to make the tea :naughty: then you can have coffee and the maid in bed ;)

Years ago when I was engaged, my fiance's alarm clock was me.....actually I think perhaps I'd better not go in to any further detail.....

Any alarm clock should IMO be difficult to switch off - stops you from hitting the snooze button and getting another 5 minutes over and over again....

Any alarm clock should also start off low and gradually increase in volume - so as to prevent heart attacks in the morning.

Yeah theres nothing more anoying than your alarm clock going off when you are having a really nice sleep and dont want to wake up.

When I was at my penpals house many years ago, his Hifi would wake him up with rock music. That is the last thing I'd like to hear so early in the morning.

My alarm clock here has this women that talks and tells me the time. Its quite good as it means you dont have to open your eyes to read the display.

Am I the only person in the universe to find Moyles extremely irritating?
I am no prude. I used to love Mark & Lard. But they were witty and intelligent, whereas Moyles is a peurile prat.

£199.99 for an alarm clock :Yikes: And I thought £50 was to much for an alarm clock.

I paid £199 for an alarm clock. Ok, it came with a built in Nicam/Fasttext telly and FM stereo radio, but I paid £199 for it all the same.

Actually the best alarm I ever had was my old Psion Series 5. You could record the alarms. I recorded Ricky Martin singing "Living Lavida Loca" and placed it on my chest of drawers at the other end of the room. That way I had to get up..

Currently, a combination of the Johnny Vaughn breakfast show and a particularly irritating ringtone (an mp3 of some women singing an opera) on my mobile phone wake me up.

this one does that. Plus is has a dual alarm facility so that you cant set two different times, one with radio and one with buzzer for example or maybe with CD if you want. It can also be set so that it doesnt go off at weekends ohhhh and it keeps time by using a radio signal.

I have one of these in the kitchen without the alarm clock on it has been running for over a year now on 1 AA cell.
