No more tubes of smarties. No more lids with alphabets. :bigcry:

Hexagonal pages with flip top lids. Why o Why :nono:

"Remain fresh to youngsters" my arse. They can make the product cheaper that way. Amongst other things, the packaging is now all in one.

It is a shame, although things change and move on. Still, I am not going to lose any sleep over it.

I've spent the last 32 years building a two storey house for my family entirely out of Smarties tubes, using the lids as flooring, paving stones and a driveway. I estimated to be finished by 2008, but if the hexagons come in, I'm going to have to redo the whole roof.

Smarties used to be owned by Rowntrees but are now owned by the devil-NESTLE!!

I gave up eating smarties since the tubes got so small. You can eat an entire tube at one gulp now. :(

There'll be trouble if there's no Smarties in Tesco's when I get there! Although I must admit I find the tubes a little small (in capacity!) - but the boxes are about the right size! And the big Smarties are quite acceptable too!

Depends on if they're the 400g bags or the piddley smaller ones with only about 7 eggs in each  AND if you're going to pass by my house and drop them off, charging me £5 to deliver like Tesco's does ;)

..... AND if the bags are empty by the time you get here..... :D

I have some Neuhaus choccies that i bought yesterday when i had a meeting in the city.... can swap one neuhaus chocolate for 15 bags of mini eggs...

Deal? ;) :p:

Oh and no smarties...... once you've had a mini egg, the smarties just don't taste the same, whatever packaging they're in :D
