Just wondering if there is a problem in ST16. Haven't had a connection since last night, got home and no up or downstream, still the same this morning before I left.

I do have my MAC address to hand.

I have phoned the status line several times and there are no major outages and have powered down the modem several times.

ST17 is working - not much help to you but thought i'd add it.

I used to live in ST16 by the way. Small world!

Got an update for you rang the 150 number, went through the prompts etc, got put through to TS, yes it was an indian that answered and you know that I have been bashing NTL for off-shoring TS, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they answered within 5 minutes and within about 10 minutes I had an engineer booked to come out this morning. He left about 1 hour ago.

It transpires that an engineer had been to the street cabinet and disconnected my TV service and because I use a seperate cable modem, it had disconnected my broadband as well. It was my own fault for not saying that I had a broadband connection, the engineer that came reconnected me at the cabinet so here I am. :)

Apparently the engineer that had disconnected me should have come round to collect my box at the same time, but it is still here using it as a dust collection device. :)

In other words, yes. Fix time 13.55.
If you phoned before 9.55, it wouldn't have shown up.

I think it's in reference to the Indian Call Centres that people have a habit of being put through to. Perhaps they have difficulty understanding him or vice versa. I don't think he meant it the way you're thinking he said it. ;)

I think we are getting a little over-sensitive here. The post was praising the efficiency of the service from a call centre on the other side of the world. It just HAPPENS to be in India.

Yep as stated in my reply earlier, but then you always get some people who read into things when there is no need to. :)
