The gf just bought a dvd for £25 don't know from where, just for the kids bedroom, if they ( when they ) break it eventually, you can trow them away at that price :tu:

It isn't, but there is a hack for it courtesy of http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=176&Thread=352195&Type=1&NewPosts=1.

switch on player. open the lid. press stop on remote then enter 2379. this will give the opportunity to change region select by cursors preferably region 0 and press ok. Player will now play any region.

I am looking for a cheapo dvd player that also plays dvd's recorded on my dvd recorder.

I may as well get one of these at this price - good find :)

Yeah, but you get what you pay for....

I don't really see it's the same as it is with video players, i.e. the quality is the same, just the price is a lot lower - I think the quality of these lower priced players is a lot lower that your £150+ jobs
