Just been having a browse through a site which runs Photoshop competitions. Maybe we could have a similar competition on here. For inspiration have a look at http://www.worth1000.com/galleries.asp

Agreed,
We recently had a thread where a picture of Russ D was photoshopped with superb results, would love to see a monthly compo or something where we just take any picture really and have a laff with it.

Maybe even coggy can come up with a reward for it.

Ahhh photoshop, many wonderous creations have come from it...
I have spent most of my evening messing with it and putting male friends faces on womens bodies. ;)
I learnt most of the things i know off www.good-tutorials.com (http://www.good-tutorials.com), its really good!
The worth1000 site is really good, i'm no were near the standard of some people that enter their work on there!
Mine tends to be quite rediculous...here is a picture of Plonking with magic powers...(btw his nickname is Haywee...not sure why...)

Here (http://www.psychwire.co.uk/gifs/hayweeeee.gif)

I'm guessing that the close picture of an eye in xc's avvy is from the girl in plon's avvy?

sorry for it being odd, it works on xcd's pc, but won't even work from mine, which is stationed about a foot away from hers...

anyway you can access the folder it is in by going here (http://www.psychwire.co.uk/gifs/) - the one we were trying to show you is called 'hayweeeeeeeeeeee.gif'. be warned, it's really silly!

Thank you :) i made it last night from a tutorial on good-tutorials, but i didn't do it right and i just made lots of adjustment layers and a pattern of some peeling paint, don't know how people come up with ideas like that!

I couldn't get it originally.

Then I navigated to it through the folder link posted and it worked fine.

Then I tried the original link again and it worked (probably just serving the image from the cache though 'cause when I ctrl+F5'd it it refused the connection again).

That may be it, as I did just that.

ahh cunning, I don't know why the server is being moody, but hopefully you all found the picture entertaining, even though it takes a while to load!!

PS: xcd is very good at turning people into oompah-loompahs as well, if you want me to post links to those, I can do, although they are quite scary!

lol, ok well they may not look exactly like oompah-loompahs (we remembered the guys from the film were more of a brown colour after we did the pics, but we like the way they look anyways, lol)...

one (http://tinypic.com/1o0uhz)

two (http://tinypic.com/1o0uo4)

hope they are even a little entertaining ;)

For those of you (like me) who could only afford the cheapo Photoshop Elements rather than the multi-million pound Photoshop, may I recommend an excellent book called The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 2 by Richard Lynch. For example, you need the full Photoshop to split a photo into RGB channels, don't you? No you don't; it's possible to do it with Photoshop Elements if you know how.

PS I believe that the Elements 3 version is now in print.
