To do a traceroute you need to open a command prompt, the easisst way to do this is go to your staert menu and click 'run' then if using win98 or less type command if NT, 200, XP type cmd hit ok and this will open the command prompt.

then just type traceroute and the address you want to trace to ie:

traceroute www.cableforum.co.uk

hope that helps.

Type CMD and press enter

In the black box that appears, type

You could just go to start, MS-DOS Prompt.
The Window opens.
Then type: tracert followed by a space and then the address.
eg.

c:\tracert www.bbc.co.uk

as mentioned in another thread .... have you tried your connection without the router ... have you tried without Firewall etc ...

and have you chosen a MOH Server with a low ping in the first place.

Uninstall all that NTL software, you don't need it, and then try without the router. The only thing that you need from the NTL CD is the USB driver if you are going down the USB route. If you are then change to ethernet, it's far better.
